Description

Key Responsibilities:

Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures
Coordinate daily workflow and patient assignments
Verify patient identity, orders, and histories
Produce quality diagnostic images following department protocols
Monitor patients throughout exams and provide appropriate safety measures
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals under radiologist supervision
Assist radiologists with exams and invasive procedures as needed
Maintain accurate records, charting, and documentation
Ensure studies are assigned to a radiologist before end of shift
Utilize EPIC effectively for documentation and workflow

Required Skills & Experience:

Maintain quality control on imaging instrumentation
Manipulate computerized image data for interpretation and archiving
Assist with MRI/Nuclear protocol improvements alongside radiologists and application specialists
Maintain records for radionuclide receipt, storage, use, and disposal per state/federal regulations
Assist with ACR accreditation data collection and image submission
Troubleshoot/report equipment malfunctions
Assist with hot lab access management
Rotate through Nuclear Cardiology, Main Nuclear, and PET departments routinely
Participate in equipment calibration and radionuclide assay operations
May assist with clinical instruction for Radiologic Technology students

Additional Notes:

Rotation within the department required
Shift rotation and call may be required depending on department needs
