Physical Therapist (PT) – Grants, New Mexico

Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
Shift: Days | 8-Hour Shifts
Contract Type: Travel Therapy | 13 Weeks

This PT opportunity in Grants, New Mexico offers a broad caseload, supportive hospital environment, and the chance to work closely with patients across multiple stages of recovery.

This role is ideal for therapists who enjoy variety, independence, and building strong patient relationships in a community-based setting. New graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview

The Physical Therapist is responsible for restoring function, improving mobility, reducing pain, and helping patients regain independence through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

Caseload includes both inpatient and outpatient populations with a wide variety of orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and general medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility interventions
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case management, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Supervise PTAs and support staff when appropriate
• Ensure a safe and compliant clinical environment

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
• Active New Mexico PT license or eligibility to obtain one
• Previous inpatient, rehab, or outpatient experience preferred
• New graduates with strong clinical rotations welcome
• Strong communication and patient care skills
