Requirements:

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Active NYS license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist required.
• Minimum two (2) years of post-A.A.S. clinical acute care experience required.
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
• Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius.
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required based on schedule.
• Block scheduling or set schedules cannot be accommodated.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy to patients.
• Initiate and monitor oxygen therapy for patients.
• Assist physicians in instituting and maintaining continuous ventilation.
• Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as needed.
• Perform pulmonary function testing.
• Conduct radial arterial punctures.
• Provide respiratory care services in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
