House Supervisor (RN) – Contract Assignment

Position Overview

A healthcare facility in California is seeking an experienced House Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing hospital operations during assigned shifts, supporting clinical staff, coordinating patient care activities, and ensuring high-quality patient care delivery across departments.

Schedule & Assignment Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Holiday coverage required

Responsibilities

Supervise daily hospital operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts
Provide clinical leadership and operational support across departments
Assist with staffing coordination, patient flow, and resource allocation
Respond to emergencies and provide clinical support when needed
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
Support staff education, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
Maintain accurate documentation and communication within the EMR system

Requirements

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Current PALS certification
NRP certification preferred
Previous House Supervisor or leadership experience preferred
Experience using CPSI/Evident EMR preferred
Proof of negative TB screening within the past 12 months

Preferred Qualifications

Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
Flexibility to support hospital operations during holidays and high census periods
