Description

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide interim supervisory support during assigned shifts to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient care.
  • Collaborate closely with the Birthing Center Manager to uphold organizational policies, clinical protocols, and safety standards.
  • Lead staff education initiatives, including orientation and competency validation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a clinical and operational resource, offering guidance and expertise to staff and leadership.
  • Promote compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced setting.

Required Skills:

  • Proven leadership in obstetrics nursing with a minimum of five years of experience in labor, delivery, and neonatal care.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, physicians, and patients.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to operate clinical equipment and perform technical procedures confidently.
  • A professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Bilingual capabilities to support diverse patient populations.
  • Additional certifications related to fetal monitoring or neonatal intensive care.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Colorado RN licensure or Compact License.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • STABLE Certification
  • AWHONN intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certification, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years experience in obstetrics and neonatal nursing, with prior leadership roles preferred.

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication and professional management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
