RN – MedSurg/Tele
Location: Charlotte
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12hr Night Shift | 7:00PM – 7:00AM | 36 Hours

Unit Details
- 24-bed MedSurg/Tele unit
- RN Ratios: 1:5-6
- Resource Team position
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Tele RN experience
- First-time travelers not preferred but considered with strong experience
- Active RN License required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

- Sepsis
- Respiratory illnesses
- GI disorders
- Infections
- Liver failure
- AKI/CKD
- Home vents
- Trachs

- Cardiac rhythm interpretation

- Chest tube management

- Drain/tube management:
- Dobhoff

- Foley insertion/management

- Medication/drip management:
- Cardiac drips
- Heparin
- Blood products
- IV fluids
Support & Equipment
- CNA support
- Charge nurse available 24/7
- IV/VAT Team
- RT, Hospitalist, and Intensivist available 24/7
- Nurses responsible for telemetry monitoring
- EMR: EPIC
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Med Dispensing: Omnicell
- Monitors: Phillips
Floating Requirements
Traveler must be agreeable to floating within assigned region and scope of practice.

Region 3 Facilities:
- Cleveland
- Kings Mountain
- Lincoln

Traveler will remain on the clock and be paid for travel time if floated mid-shift.
Schedule Details
- Every Other Weekend required
- No On-Call
- Travelers required to work 75% of holidays

- 2 departmental orientation days
