Per Diem / PRN Nurse Practitioner - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

ATC Healthcare is looking for a Cardiovascular Surgery NP or PA in Jackson, MI. Make up to $121/hour!!

Schedule:

• Full-time coverage Aug–Jan, PRN thereafter
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week.  including weekends, nights, and weekdays.
• Call Schedule:  No call required.

Details:

• Program expansion; maternity leave coverage
• IP / hospital-based setting covering the CVICU.
• Average census: 8-12 patients.
• Patient population includes vascular patients requiring neuro checks and post–CV surgery patients.
• Chest tube removals required.
• Staffing includes 2 APPs on the day shift and 1 APP on the night shift.
• Supervising Physician Present During Assignment: Yes—on site during day shift; available by phone at night and will come in if warranted
• Intensivists available 24/7—on site during the day and on call from home at night.
• Documentation System/EMR:  EPIC
• Level II Trauma Center
• APP be Working Autonomously: Yes

Required Duties/Procedures:
 

Thoracentesis
Chest tube insertions
Placement of central venous and dialysis catheters
Placement of arterial lines and intra-aortic balloon pumps
 

May assist with CV surgery consults on weekend shifts

Requirements

• AANP or NCPA
• MI License
• ACLS & BLS through AHA
• Must be experienced- minimum of 3 years
• Acute Care trained and certified
