Description

Pride Health is seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Dietitian to join a multidisciplinary healthcare team in, New York City, New York, 10065. The ideal candidate will have experience providing comprehensive nutrition care to patients across various age groups and demonstrate strong clinical and communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nutrition screenings and assess patient nutrition risk levels according to established policies
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients on assigned units
  • Develop, implement, and reevaluate individualized nutrition care plans
  • Calculate calorie, protein, and fluid requirements using standardized formulas
  • Recommend therapeutic diets, nutrition supplements, and enteral nutrition support as needed
  • Monitor patient nutritional status through meal rounds, calorie counts, and ongoing evaluations
  • Approve physician diet orders and enteral feeding advancements according to policy
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on prescribed diets and nutrition-related topics
  • Coordinate outpatient/home care nutrition services prior to discharge
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Provide in-service education and support for healthcare staff and dietetic interns

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or related field
  • Active New York State Dietitian/Nutritionist License required
  • Minimum 2–4 years of clinical nutrition experience
  • Basic computer literacy skills
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Nutrition or related field
  • Experience in acute care or hospital settings
  • Familiarity with enteral feeding protocols and therapeutic diets

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Shift: 5 x 7.5 Hour Days
  • Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 Hours/Week
  • Contract Length:13 weeks with possible extension
  • Pay Range: $45.00-$51.00 Per hour

Compensation will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
