🏥 RN – Emergency Room (ER Care Center) | Travel Assignment
Location: Asheville, NC
Unit: Emergency Department (ED Care Center)
Position Type: Travel RN
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Schedule: 3x12s | Every other weekend required
Block Scheduling: Not available

🧠 Unit Overview
The ER Care Center provides comprehensive emergency services with dedicated zones for medical, trauma, behavioral health holds, and rapid assessment.
- Beds: 101
- Patient Ratio: 4:1 typical (up to 7:1 behavioral health holds)
- EMR: Cerner
- Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
- Staffing: Techs, triage support, unit clerks (24/7 coverage)
🩺 Key Responsibilities
- Deliver emergency nursing care in a high-volume ED setting
- Triage, assess, and prioritize patients based on acuity
- Manage trauma, stroke, medical, and behavioral health cases
- Provide real-time patient monitoring and intervention
- Collaborate with ED physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner
- Support patient experience initiatives (AIDET, communication updates)
- Flexibly float within ED zones as needed
🎯 Required Qualifications
- Active RN License (NC or Compact)
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience
- At least 1 year recent ER experience (required)
- Experience in Level II Trauma or high-volume ED (>100K visits preferred)
- Strong teamwork and adaptability in fast-paced environments
📜 Required Certifications (Must Have Before Start)
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS
- TNCC
- CPI
- NIHSS
- ENPC (within 90 days of hire)

- FULL SSN IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION
- Full SSN is required at the time of submission
