Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Position Summary

The RN – PCU/Telemetry is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to adult patients requiring cardiac monitoring, progressive care, and medical-surgical support. The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry interpretation skills, experience in acute care settings, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, provide patient education, and ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU/Telemetry patients
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms accurately
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
Assess patient conditions and respond promptly to clinical changes
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records using Epic EMR
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and healthcare staff
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
Float to similar units as required based on hospital needs
Follow infection control, safety, and hospital compliance standards
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining clinical excellence

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2+ years of recent Med/Surg experience required
Recent PCU/Telemetry experience preferred
Epic EMR experience within the last year required
Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accredited)
Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to float to comparable units as needed

Required Certifications

BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS – Required
NIH Stroke Certification – Required
