Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paramedic to provide advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care and patient transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, critical thinking abilities, and experience handling emergency situations in fast-paced environments. The Paramedic will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, emergency responders, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency medical calls
- Assess patient conditions and provide advanced life support (ALS) care
- Administer medications, IV therapy, airway management, and cardiac monitoring as required
- Operate emergency medical equipment safely and effectively
- Stabilize and transport patients to appropriate healthcare facilities
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records and reports
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, dispatch personnel, and emergency teams
- Maintain ambulance readiness, equipment, and supply inventory
- Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in emergency preparedness and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Active Paramedic certification/license in the applicable state
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent Paramedic experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PALS and/or ITLS certification preferred
- Experience in high-volume EMS or emergency response settings
- Familiarity with electronic patient care reporting systems
