Position Overview:

W. W. Hastings Hospital is seeking experienced and motivated Paramedics to join its Advanced Life Support (ALS) transport team. This role is hospital-based and focused on ambulance transport services, providing high-quality emergency and interfacility patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Paramedics will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver advanced pre-hospital and transport care while ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and compliance with all state and organizational protocols.

Schedule:

  • Scheduled: 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
  • Shift Options:
    • 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    • 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
    • 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
    • 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) care during emergency and non-emergency ambulance transports.
  • Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients during transport.
  • Administer medications and advanced interventions according to protocol.
  • Operate and maintain emergency response equipment and ambulance units.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, dispatch, and receiving facilities.
  • Complete accurate patient care documentation and transport records.
  • Ensure compliance with state EMS regulations, safety standards, and hospital policies.
  • Respond professionally and efficiently in high-stress emergency situations.

Required Qualifications

  • Active NREMT-P (National Registry Paramedic) certification
  • Active Oklahoma Paramedic License
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous ALS transport or emergency response experience
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with hospital-based EMS systems preferred
