Interventional Radiology Travel RN – Job Description
Location: Plano, Texas
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Employment Type: Travel Contract | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity Available
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM with rotating day off
Shift: Day Shift
Interview Process: 1 Round Interview
On-Call Requirements:
- Weekday call: Monday–Friday, 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend call: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend/Float Requirement: On-call coverage required

Required Certifications:
- Active RN License
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience required
- Neuro Interventional Radiology experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, procedural sedation, patient monitoring, and emergency response
- Experience assisting with vascular and minimally invasive image-guided procedures preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity procedural environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care during interventional radiology procedures in a 1:1 setting
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Assist physicians during vascular, neuro IR, and minimally invasive procedures
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation per facility protocols
- Maintain sterile field and infection prevention standards throughout procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Accurately document patient care and procedural details using Epic EMR
- Participate in rotating call schedule including nights and weekends
