Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced CT / X-ray Technologist to join our team in Presque Isle. This role includes cross-coverage between CT and X-ray, with occasional floating to the Operating Room (OR) or bedside portables as needed. First-time travelers are welcome.
Schedule & Coverage:
- Typical shift: Monday–Friday; weekend coverage as needed for PTO or staffing gaps
- Weekend rotation varies based on requisition
- No on-call required
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- 1 year of CT experience required
- X-ray experience preferred; training available if skills need refresh
- Comfortable with adult/geriatric patient population; some pediatric exposure
Patient Types / Common Procedures:
CT:
- ED, outpatient, inpatient
- Oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, trauma
- Biopsies (training provided)
- CTA studies and general CT studies
X-ray:
- Outpatient, inpatient, ED/ICU/MedSurg, OR
- Fluoroscopy, C-Arm in OR
- Orthopedic trauma, ICU, MedSurg, ER imaging (CXR, AB scans, vascular)
Required Licenses & Certifications:
- Maine State License
- ARRT (R) CT certification
- BLS
Preferred Skills:
- IV start and biopsy experience highly preferred
- OR / C-arm / Fluoroscopy experience preferred but training available
- Comfortable being trained in new procedures
Technology & Equipment:
- EMR: Cerner
- PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
- CT: Siemens X.Cite, GE 16-slice PET CT (backup)
- X-ray: Siemens, T-Rad with Siemens ART PIX (digital), Cannon Ultimax Hybrid C-arm, Phillips C-arm in OR, mobile units (Phillips, Siemens, GE AMX 4), mini C-arm for ortho
Floating Requirements:
- Between CT and X-ray, including OR and bedside portables
