Description

Job Responsibilities

Assist with patient positioning, supplies, and surgical equipment setup for procedures
Perform closure of all skin layers using appropriate closure techniques
Assist surgeons during procedures, including suctioning, retracting, camera holding, tying, and other intraoperative duties
Participate in scrubbing duties and support training activities for medical students, residents, and other learners
Primary focus will be supporting Orthopedic surgeries

Additional Requirements

Client credentialing required prior to start
Trauma Level 1 experience preferred

Education Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology required

Required Certifications & Licensure

Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) required
Certified Surgical Technician (CST) through NBSTSA required
Active BLS certification required

Preferred Experience

Orthopedic and Trauma Level 1 surgical experience preferred
