Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The RN promotes patient-centered care while ensuring compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate care for assigned patients
• Administer medications safely according to policy
• Educate patients and families on health management
• Support quality improvement and shared governance initiatives
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards and regulations
• Assist with orientation and support of new staff and students
• Participate in ongoing professional development

Required Skills & Experience

• RN experience: 6 months to 3 years
• Management experience: 0 to 3 years
• Minimum 5+ years of direct experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Organizational and time management skills
• Reliability and safety/risk management awareness

Required Education & Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current New York RN License
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Acute care or ambulatory nursing experience
• Specialty certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC (as applicable)

• Minimum Degree: Associate’s Degree
