🏥 Unit Overview – CVICU
- Unit Size: 10 Beds
- Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

- Open heart recovery
- Post PCI
- Pacemaker patients
- CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure
- Sepsis, DVT, PE
- Thoracotomy & vascular procedures
👩⚕️ Position Overview
This role requires a high-acuity CVICU RN capable of managing immediate post-operative open heart patients from Day 1.
You’ll provide:
- Hemodynamic monitoring & critical care interventions
- Full-cycle patient care (admission → discharge)
- Emotional, cultural, and clinical patient support
- Clinical leadership & precepting when needed
🛠️ Skills & Equipment
- A-lines & invasive monitoring
- Chest tubes & central lines
- Multiple IV pumps
- Ventilator support (invasive & non-invasive)
- Cardiac telemetry & EKG interpretation
✅ Requirements
🎯 Must-Have
- Active Montana RN License
- 2+ years CVICU / Critical Care experience
- Recent Open Heart Recovery experience (REQUIRED)
📜 Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
🤝 Team Structure
- Reports to: Providers, Charge Nurse, ICU Director, CNO
- Works alongside: Multidisciplinary care teams
- Supervises: LPNs, CNAs, support staff
