Description
Job Summary
Experienced Pharmacist needed for an 8-week EPIC Conversion assignment in an inpatient clinical pharmacy setting. The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient pharmacy experience, recent Epic experience within the last 12 months, and proficiency with Cerner. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to support pharmacy operations during a major EMR transition.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and pharmacy regulations
- Monitor medication therapy for safety, accuracy, and effectiveness
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Support inpatient clinical pharmacy operations during EPIC conversion
- Accurately document and process pharmacy workflows using Epic and Cerner systems
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medication safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Provide medication information and support to healthcare staff as needed
Requirements
- Active California Pharmacist License required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy required
- Minimum 6 months of Epic experience within the last 12 months
- Cerner experience required
- Must be proficient with both Epic and Cerner systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience preferred
- Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience preferred
