Description
Job Summary
Experienced OB RN needed for a night shift assignment in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment. The ideal candidate will be confident managing laboring patients, postpartum recovery, and cesarean section deliveries. Candidates must be able to independently take over a recovery in Labor & Delivery and assist with cesarean section deliveries, including catching babies during C-sections.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to OB and Labor & Delivery patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
- Manage patient recovery following delivery and cesarean sections
- Assist physicians during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Perform newborn assessments and immediate neonatal care
- Accurately document patient care and clinical updates
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia providers, NICU staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with patient safety and hospital protocols
Requirements
- Active RN License required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Previous OB/Labor & Delivery experience required
- Must be able to:
- Take over Labor & Delivery recoveries independently
- Catch babies during cesarean section deliveries
