RN – Emergency Department | Mission Hospital | Asheville, NC
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night, 3x12 (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Location: 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients with acute, critical, and trauma-related conditions in a high-volume ED
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, medication administration, and emergency interventions
- Monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, and assist with stabilization and treatment
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams in all areas of the emergency department
- Maintain accurate Cerner documentation and ensure patient-centered communication
- Float within all sections of the ED based on department needs
Required Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in Emergency Department
- Experience in Level II trauma center and high-volume ED setting preferred
- Strong triage, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
- Ability to manage diverse patient populations and high-acuity cases
- Team-oriented with flexibility to work across all ED areas
- Experience with Cerner charting preferred
