Job Overview
Come help us out and play in the Colorado Mountains! Valley View Hospital in beautiful Glenwood Springs, CO is seeking an experienced Acute Care / Med-Surg Registered Nurse for a 13-week day shift contract. This unit is seeing high census due to a seasonal influx of Orthopedic surgeries, Hybrid Cath Lab procedures, and general acute care needs, making it a great environment for a skilled clinician.
Key Highlights & Critical Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Acute Care, Med-Surg, or Telemetry experience is strictly required.
- Call Rotation: Must participate in the unit's call schedule, which requires taking 1 call shift per 2-week period. Note: If called in due to staffing needs, this shift may replace guaranteed hours for that week per facility policy.
- Location Perks: Located right in the heart of the Rockies—perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who love hiking, skiing, and mountain views.
Qualifications
- Active Colorado (CO) or Compact Registered Nurse License.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification (ACLS also required for submission).
- Strong clinical background in post-op orthopedic care and monitoring post-Cath Lab patients.
