Description
CT Technologist Job Description
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams according to physician orders while ensuring high-quality imaging and excellent patient care. This role utilizes advanced computerized imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images that assist radiologists in diagnosing a wide range of diseases and medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT scans accurately and efficiently according to physician orders
- Operate specialized CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Utilize RIS (Radiology Information System) and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) effectively
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures
- Monitor patients during exams to ensure safety and comfort
- Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to support accurate diagnoses
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Ensure proper functionality and maintenance of imaging equipment
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current Indiana Radiologic Technologist license required
- Current ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
- Strong communication, patient care, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Minimum 2 years experience

-Siemens exp preferred
-Cerner EMR
