Position: RN – Medical/Surgical

Start Date: June 8, 2026

Shift: 12-hour Nights

Weekends: Required

📋 Job Summary

• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.
• Collects and evaluates health data continuously.
• Provides health teaching and counseling.
• Delivers supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or indirectly (consultation, delegation, supervision, teaching).
• Executes delegated medical functions and refers patients for further evaluation/treatment as needed.
• Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
• Documents per hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Utilizes resources appropriately.
• Promotes the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health; adheres to service behavior standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
• May be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.

Preferred:

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.

🎓 Education & Licensure

Required:

• ASN – Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS – American Heart Association.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit/service.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Specialty certification relevant to unit/service.
