Description
Position: Travel Perfusionist – OR
Location: Overland Park, KS
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Variable Shifts
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Start Date: 06/08/2026
On-Call Requirement: Approximately 2 call days per week with shared weekly/weekend call coverage
Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage cardiopulmonary bypass equipment during cardiac surgeries
- Perform perfusion support for procedures including CABG, MVR, AVR, Aortic Dissections, TAVR, and ECMO initiation
- Monitor and maintain patient circulation and oxygenation during procedures
- Utilize Spectrum Quantum HLM, Centrifugal Pump Head, CATS Cell Saver, and Cardiohelp ECMO Pump
- Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff
- Maintain accurate documentation using Viper/Spectrum and Meditech systems
- Participate in on-call coverage for emergency cardiac procedures
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of CCP experience
- Experience with Spectrum Quantum pumps and Centrifugal pump head
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Willingness to take call responsibilities
Certifications & Licensure:
- ABCP / CCP Certification required
- Missouri Perfusionist License required
- BLS Certification required
