Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing medication orders, ensuring safe and effective medication therapy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify physician medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Dispense medications safely and efficiently in accordance with hospital policies
• Monitor patient medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions or adverse reactions
• Provide clinical support and medication recommendations to physicians and nursing staff
• Maintain accurate patient medication records using EPIC charting system
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital pharmacy regulations
• Assist with medication inventory management and controlled substance procedures
• Educate patients and healthcare staff regarding medication usage and safety
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and clinical rounds as needed

Skills: 

• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Requirements:

• Active Pharmacist license
• Minimum 2 years of  pharmacy experience

• AHA - BLS Certification required
