Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Charting System: Preferred

 

*Must be able to work holidays
*possibly of taking care of COVID patients.
*Traveler will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team.

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st time Traveler
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Must be able to take insulin and heparin drips.
Certs: BCLS

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
CPI, Charge nurse exp.

JOB DETAILS:
Target Ratios: 1:6-7
Shift: 12HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15
*36 or 48 hours accepted.
Charge role is required for night travelers.
13-26 weeks accepted
***RTO: 7 days MAX For AYA AUTO OFFER***;
Call Requirement: Call required if put on call prescheduled shift.
Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding.
Weekend Requirement: Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend
*Must be able to work holidays
*possibly of taking care of COVID patients.
*Traveler will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team.

** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed

PATIENT DIAGNOSES:
Adults and geriatrics. General Med/Surg Patients. Daily census ~43.

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:
Insulin Drips
Heparin Drips
Wound Vac Drsg Changes
High Flow Oxygen
We occasionally have limited short term BiPap with respiratory support. No additional training needed. Appropriate for all med/surg nurses. No PCU level patients on this unit.

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS EPIC, SBAR

SCHEDULING TYPE: Per Unit Needs + Preferences relayed to management

*Must be able to work holidays
