Job Summary: Operates all radiographic equipment in Cath Lab at a technical level under the direction of a cardiologist. Performs scrub assist role during invasive procedures. Records information, and evaluates patients response to Cath and/or EP procedures Job Responsibilities: -Obtains a concise, complete medical history and physical assessment of each patient in a timely manner. -Performs time-out procedure, ensuring proper consent and H&P are present. -Counts according to policy with no deviations. -Prepares patient in a timely manner. - Uses and maintains proper sterile technique when assisting the scrub assist/physician. - Proficient in documentation within EMR to show patients progress and response to interventions in an efficient manner. - Documents charges and changes within EMR. -Delivers care in a cost-efficient manner by using sound decisions before opening supplies. -Performs proficiently all tasks and skills according to cath lab guidelines during all routine and emergency cases. -Identifies and documents basic arrhythmias. -Identifies and documents respiratory dysfunction. -Demonstrates knowledge and performance of pulse oximetry, cardiac monitoring and automatic blood pressure machine, recording equipment. -Demonstrates knowledge and performance of cardiac output, valve area and shunt calculations. null
