Description
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- Strong Neuro ICU experience REQUIRED
- Travel experience required (manager may review exceptions)
- Community hospital & Trauma Level II experience required
- California RN License must be in hand
- First-time travelers NOT accepted
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- LA City Fire Card (required within last 30 days)
Clinical Experience Needed
- Ventilator management & ABGs
- Arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines
- Cardiac drips & vasoactive drips
- Sedation/paralytics
- Neuro ICU:
- EVD
- ICP monitoring
- Stroke/CVA care
- Post craniotomy/neurosurgery
- TBI/spinal injuries
- Cardiac cases:
- CABG
- STEMI
- IABP
- Swan Ganz
- CRRT
- Trauma & high-acuity critical care
Unit Highlights
- 24 ICU beds + 12 overflow beds
- High-acuity Neuro & Trauma ICU
- STEMI and Stroke Center
- Diagnoses include:
- Multi-trauma
- Gunshot wounds
- Stroke
- Sepsis
- Surgical ICU cases
- Cardiac patients
Floating & Scheduling
- Floating required to ICU overflow and PCU/Tele
- Travelers float in rotation with staff
- Every other weekend coverage
- 1 RTO request preferred
- Must work 3 of 5 major holidays
