Travel CVOR RN – 13-16 Week Assignment

Seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room travel assignment at a large academic teaching hospital. This position requires strong open-heart and cardiovascular OR experience with flexibility to support additional OR specialties as needed.

Schedule Options:

• 4x10 Days: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
  OR
• 3x12 Days: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM

Call Requirements:

• 1–2 weekday overnight calls weekly (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM)
• One full weekend of call every 5 weeks
• Must be flexible to meet unit staffing and patient care needs

Requirements:

• Active BLS certification
• CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years recent CVOR/Open Heart OR RN experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Recent Epic experience within the last 2 years required
• Experience in a large (500+ bed) academic teaching hospital required

Additional Expectations:

• May float to other OR specialties including general, ortho, neuro, and ENT
• If floated, RN will circulate only (no scrub requirement)
• Travelers must work 2 of the following holidays:
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas
  • New Year’s Day

Important Notes:

• No block scheduling available
• Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not accessible

Ideal candidates will have strong cardiovascular surgical experience, travel adaptability, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced academic OR environments.
