School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist – Manassas, VA

Position Details
Location: Manassas, VA
Setting: School-based
Age Group: Elementary-aged students preferred/anticipated
Dates: August 3, 2026 – June 4, 2027
Schedule: Full-time, 35–40 hours per week
Caseload: Up to Virginia caseload maximum of 68 students
Pay: $54–$60+ per hour, depending on experience
Role Overview
As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will support students by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and related needs. You will work closely with teachers, families, and school teams to help students access their educational environment and make meaningful progress toward their IEP goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct evaluations, screenings, and progress monitoring as needed
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams
- Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, and progress reports
- Support students with speech, language, fluency, voice, pragmatic language, and communication needs
- Communicate with families, teachers, and staff regarding student progress and strategies for support
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Virginia SLP license or eligibility
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Clinical Fellows may be considered if supervision is available
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and related service providers
- Knowledge of IEP processes and special education documentation preferred
