- Experience: 2+ years RN experience
- Preferred: Pediatric post-op / PACU experience
- EMR: Epic
- Certifications:
- BLS (required)
- PALS (required)
Role Overview
The PACU RN delivers high-quality, patient-centered care across pediatric populations (neonates through adolescents, with occasional adult patients). Key responsibilities include:
- Performing comprehensive patient assessments (clinical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural)
- Developing and implementing individualized plans of care within 24 hours of admission
- Monitoring post-anesthesia recovery and ensuring patient safety
- Collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
Ideal Candidate
- Strong pediatric critical thinking and recovery experience
- Comfortable working in fast-paced PACU environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptable and eager to learn
