Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Clearlake, CA
Department: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Shift: Days
Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Schedule: 36 Hours per Week

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
• Assist physicians and healthcare providers during deliveries and obstetrical procedures.
• Perform newborn assessments and stabilization as needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding childbirth, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, pediatric providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License required.
• Minimum 3–4 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Strong labor and delivery experience required.
• Postpartum nursing experience required.
• Newborn stabilization skills required.
• Current AHA BLS Certification required.
• Current NRP Certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

• STABLE Certification strongly preferred.
• ACLS Certification preferred.
• Nursery experience (any level) preferred.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred (must obtain within six months of employment if not currently held).
