Description
Shift: Variable 12 3x12 Hr
Job Summary:-Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. -Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.-Evaluates health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data.-Performs health teaching and health counseling.-Provides therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others.-Executes delegated medical functions.-Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.-Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.-Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.-Uses resources as needed.-Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.-Performs other duties as assigned.-May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.-May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift. For this position they traveler would be frequently floating to the NICU. Manager would like them to have a min. of 3 years on in the NICU and on a scale from 1-5 she would like a level of 4. They would need to be a level 2 with high flow CPAP experience and bypap experience. Needs to be good with stabilization NRP, taken stable is a benefit. During low census might need to float to the Med Surg floor.Skills: Required Skills & Experience:-To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.-The requirements list must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required.-Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Preferred Skills & Experience:-Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred. Required Skills: [ "L&D", "NICU", "BLS (CPR)"]Education: Required Education:-ASN - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.Preferred Education:-Bachelor's degree of Nursing is preferred.Required Certifications & Licensure:-Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required.-BLS - American Heart Association.-(ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service.)Preferred Certifications & Licensure:-Certification as appropriate for unit or service is preferred. Required certs: NRP, PAS, BLS, Fetal Monitoring cert

Very responsive, follows up. I have had to deal with compliance, HR questions etc and if the person I spoke with did not know the answer they sent it to whoever they thought could answer my questions and my questions or concerns were followed up on! This has been my first travel contract but I can’t say anything bad thus far!!! I definitely would recommend this company
