Location: New York, NY
Pay: Up to $2,400/week
Duration: 14 Weeks
Start Date: 06/22/2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 35 Hours/Week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) for a travel assignment at a leading acute care hospital in New York City. The ideal candidate will have hospital-based social work experience and be skilled in psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, and supportive counseling.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients.
Provide supportive therapy and crisis intervention services.
Develop and coordinate discharge plans to ensure safe patient transitions.
Facilitate referrals to community resources and support services.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies.

Requirements

Master's degree in social work (MSW).
Active New York State LMSW License.
Minimum 1 year of LMSW experience.
Recent hospital, inpatient medicine, surgery, or rehabilitation experience preferred.
Strong communication and care coordination skills.
