Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing medication orders, ensuring safe and effective medication therapy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform medication reconciliation and review medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Prepare and compound IV medications in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Utilize EPIC, Allscripts, DoseEdge, and pharmacy automation systems for medication management
• Support bedside barcode medication administration through scan code verification processes
• Operate and maintain Pyxis MedStation and Pyxis technology systems
• Prepare oncology medications using closed transfer device systems
• Utilize KitChek technology for medication tray management and inventory support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in patient discharge counseling and interdisciplinary rounds as needed
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy safety standards, hospital protocols, and state regulations

Requirements:

• Active Pharmacist license of NY State
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital pharmacy experience
• AHA - BLS Certificate
