Description
RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
📍 Christiana Hospital
🕒 Night Shift | 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week
Unit Highlights
- 21–30 bed Labor & Delivery unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:3 based on patient acuity
- Cerner charting system
- Experience with:
- High-risk OB patients
- Antenatal, postpartum, and OB triage care
- Epidural management
- Pitocin titration
- Magnesium sulfate administration
- Insulin drips
- Cesarean deliveries
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- No call requirement
- Floating within unit acuity areas including:
- Antenatal
- High Risk OB
- OB Triage
- Postpartum
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Active Delaware RN License or Compact RN License required
- High-acuity obstetric experience preferred
- All certifications with expiration dates must be submitted with application
