Requirements
- Valid RN license in New York
- PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- IV Certification
- IV Contrast Certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Skills and Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of nursing principles
- Ability to provide quality patient care and assess patient needs (clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual)
- Recognize safety issues and implement safe patient handling
- Function well in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Additional Information
- Must adhere to a 60-mile radius rule for travel
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
- Previous employees of the facility must have been gone for at least 2 years and be eligible for rehire to be considered.
