We are actively seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a busy Level I Trauma and Stroke Center at Summa Health – Akron Campus. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled imaging professional with strong CT experience who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Position Details:

• Position: CT Technologist
• Location: Akron Campus, Ohio
• Department: CAT Scan
• Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
• Openings: 1
• Shift: 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM
• On-Call: Yes
• Start Date: ASAP
• Interview Required

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations and radiographic procedures
• Operate CT and radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively
• Evaluate image quality and collaborate with Radiologists as needed
• Administer contrast media and assist with invasive procedures
• Ensure accurate documentation and patient record management
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
• Follow departmental protocols and quality standards
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and workflow management

Required Qualifications:
 

Education & Licensure

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Active Ohio Radiographer License required

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Stroke Center experience required
• Epic experience within the last 12 months required
• Experience working with Canon CT equipment preferred

Certifications

• Current CPR Certification required
• CT Registry preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to perform CT scans independently
• Experience administering IV contrast
• Strong patient assessment and communication skills
• Ability to position and assist patients safely
• Knowledge of imaging protocols and radiation safety standards
• Comfortable working in a high-volume acute care environment

Schedule Requirements

• Must be available to work every other weekend
• Block scheduling on weekends accepted
• No holiday requirement
• No additional on-call requirement beyond scheduled expectations
