Schedule: Days, 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Call Requirement: Every 3rd or 4th weekend, Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join a high-acuity, Level I Trauma facility. This role requires a highly skilled technologist capable of scrubbing and assisting in both Peripheral Vascular Interventional Radiology and Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting complex vascular and neurovascular interventions while maintaining exceptional patient care and procedural efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist physicians during a wide range of interventional radiology and neurointerventional procedures.
- Prepare procedure rooms, sterile fields, equipment, and supplies for scheduled and emergent cases.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment, including Siemens and Philips angiography systems.
- Circulate and scrub procedures while adhering to sterile technique and radiation safety standards.
- Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic vascular procedures in a fast-paced Level I Trauma environment.
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
- Participate in emergency response procedures, including stroke, pulmonary embolism, and trauma interventions.
- Rotate call coverage as assigned.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
- Proficiency scrubbing and assisting in both Peripheral Vascular IR and Neurovascular IR procedures.
- Experience with:
- Angiograms
- Angioplasty procedures
- Vascular stent placements
- Embolizations
- Nephrostomy and nephrogram procedures
- Drainage procedures
- Peripheral vascular interventions
- Upper and lower extremity studies
- Abdominal and pelvic vascular procedures
- Venous access procedures
- Neurological diagnostic and interventional studies
- IVC filter placement
- Central line insertions
- PE thrombectomy procedures
- Intracranial thrombectomy procedures
Department Overview
- Four Interventional Radiology suites:
- Two Single-Plane Rooms
- Two Biplane Rooms
- Siemens and Philips imaging equipment
- Two IR Technologists assigned per room:
- One technologist scrubs
- One technologist circulates
- Comprehensive interventional program supporting:
- Level I Trauma
- Level I Stroke
- Level I Pulmonary Embolism (PE)
- Vascular Interventional Radiology
- Neuro Interventional Radiology
Required Certifications
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
