💼 Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CVOR Tech to support complex cardiovascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. This role is ideal for candidates experienced in high-acuity cardiac cases who thrive in a collaborative surgical team setting.
❤️ Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile field for cardiovascular surgeries
- Assist surgeons during advanced cardiac procedures
- Ensure proper instrumentation and equipment readiness
- Adhere to strict aseptic and sterile techniques
- Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
- Maintain patient safety and compliance with OR protocols
- Handle specimens accurately and ensure proper labeling
- Follow universal protocol and time-out procedures
🫀 Case Mix & Procedures
You’ll gain experience with a wide variety of complex cardiovascular surgeries, including:
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft)
- TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
- EVAR (Endovascular Aortic Repair)
- Mitral valve replacement
- Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) procedures
- Aortic aneurysm repair
- Angioplasty and stenting
- Pericardial window
- Atrial septal defect repair
- Cardiomyoplasty
🛠️ Skills & Expertise
- Strong knowledge of CVOR workflows and instrumentation
- Proficiency in:
- Aseptic technique
- Sterilization & disinfection
- Radiation & laser safety
- Sharps safety and infection control
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency surgical situations
✅ Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR Tech experience
- NBSTSA Certification – Required
- BLS Certification – Required
- Experience in cardiovascular surgical settings preferred
