Unit Nurse Manager – Cath Lab & ICU

Job Summary
 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Unit Nurse Manager to oversee both the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This leadership role is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring clinical excellence, supporting staff development, and fostering a positive culture focused on patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will have strong critical care and cardiovascular experience, proven leadership skills, and a passion for driving quality outcomes and team engagement.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Cath Lab and ICU departments.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for nursing and clinical staff.
• Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.
• Support staff competency development and ongoing education initiatives.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring.
• Assist with patient care activities as needed and support bedside procedural services.

• 3 Pre/Post Recovery Bays
• Patient Population:
  • Cardiac
  • Vascular
  • Electrophysiology (EP)
  • Interventional Radiology (IR)
  • Non-Invasive Cardiology

ICU

• 8-Bed Intensive Care Unit
• Patient Population:
  • Sepsis
  • STEMI/NSTEMI
  • DKA
  • Respiratory Failure
  • COPD Exacerbation
  • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
  • Complex Cardiac Patients

Minimum Qualifications

Required Experience

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• Minimum 1 year of management experience
• Minimum 1 year of clinical leadership experience
• Critical Care and/or Telemetry experience required

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• CRRT Competency
