**Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur, and the contract staff may be pre-assigned to units as needed.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: This contract is for local float coverage of two different clinical sites in the Wilmington, NC, Coastal Region. The primary site has 3 Varian linacs ad one CT sim. The sister site is about a 30-minute drive away (north end of Wilmington) and has one Varian True Beam as well as a Siemens CT simulator. Pending volumes and coverage needs, the traveler would float between these offices. The traveler will NOT be expected to cut blocks, perform CT sims alone, or perform dose calcs. There are always an MD and an RN on-site throughout the day. We may ask some days if the traveler could come in 9 am to 6 pm, and some days 8 am to 5 pm. Additionally, there will be opportunities for the traveler to opt for 4 - 10-hour shifts if desired (but not required). Therapists do not work alone, so the traveler would always be paired with at least one other therapist.
UNIT SYSTEMS: Aria
SCHEDULING TYPE: Manager Schedules. Traveler will work 8am-5pm and occasionally 9am-6pm based on department needs.
