Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Contract

Location: Everett, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks (High likelihood of extension)
Start Date: ASAP

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• No block scheduling
• Every other weekend required
• Must work every other holiday

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join an acute care team in Everett, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong independent clinical skills and experience managing critically ill patients, including airway and ventilator management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform airway and ventilator management
• Draw, analyze, and interpret blood gases
• Assist with and perform intubations
• Provide respiratory care in an acute care setting
• Work independently while collaborating with clinical teams
• Utilize EMR systems (Epic preferred; Meditech for blood gas orders)

Requirements

• RRT credential required
• Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license
• NBRC membership required at submission
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Acute care experience required
• Experience with:
  • Airway and ventilator management
  • Blood gas procedures
  • Intubation
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• NRP certification (not required)
• Epic EMR experience

Compliance Requirements

• TB test (T-Spot or QuantiFERON) within 1 year
• Flu vaccine (required during season: Sept 1 – Mar 31; exemptions allowed)
• COVID-19 vaccination (original series + booster; exemptions allowed)
• 9-panel drug screen (NO THC)
• Fit test required by start date
• MMR: 2 doses or positive titer
• Hepatitis B: full vaccination series + titer (declinations not accepted)
• Physical exam within 1 year
• Tdap within 10 years (declinations not accepted)
