Description

Assignment Details

Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 5x8‑hour shifts
Shift Times: Variable starts (7 AM, 9 AM, 10 AM, or 11 AM)

Requirements

Active California RN license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
Minimum 1 year of PreOp/PACU or perioperative experience

Responsibilities

Provide pre‑operative and post‑anesthesia nursing care
Perform pre‑op assessments and patient education
Monitor patients in PACU and manage recovery from anesthesia
Obtain and interpret vital signs, EKGs, and patient status changes
Assist with endoscopy, general, orthopedic, and GI procedures
Conduct follow‑up calls and discharge education
Review patient history, medications, and surgical readiness
Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia, and recovery staff
Document patient care accurately using EMR (Epic preferred)
