General Information

Unit Specifics:

·         Number of Beds : 12 Operating Rooms (Currently staffed to run 7 plus trauma room)

·         Patient Ratios :

·         Unit staffing description- Each room staffed with RN-Circulator, CST, and FA.  Have six surgical attendants covering from 0630-1830. They assist with patient transport, pulling instruments, turning rooms over, etc.  Supply chain techs that pull all cases from preference card seven days a week. Board runner seven days a week from 7am-7pm.  Unit secretary Monday-Friday.

·         Scheduling requirements:

Weekdays: Looking for 12 hours shifts during the week with the ability to cover some call.  Have dedicated in house team seven nights a week.  Have dedicated call team from 5pm-7am Monday-Friday.  Call Requirements: One night a week for C2 call (7p-7a).  Will not schedule C2 on scheduled off days.

Weekends: Have two dedicated in house teams during the day.  Call Requirements: One weekend every four weeks C1 from 7am-7pm (12 hour call).  Will be called in for trauma back-up if both teams are in rooms.  The next time you are on weekend call it will be C2 from 7a-7pm and C1 from 7pm to 7am.  You could be called on C2 for trauma back-up if all three teams are in rooms from 7a-7p. You could be called in if the in-house team is in a room for trauma back-up from 7p-7a. (24 hour call)

Must be in-house within 30 minutes of call
