PSCU RN –

Contract Details

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Shift: 12-Hour Variable Days/Nights
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Required Licenses & Certifications

WI RN License
BLS (AHA or ARC)

Required Experience

Minimum 2+ years Med-Surg experience
Recent acute care hospital experience required
Level II Trauma experience required
At least 1 completed travel assignment required
EPIC experience required

Charting & Equipment

EPIC EMR
Rover medication scanning devices
Alaris infusion pumps

Unit Information

Post Surgical Care Unit (PSCU)
40-bed inpatient unit
Adult and geriatric post-surgical population
Provides care across the surgical recovery continuum following PACU

Patient Ratios

Days/Evenings: 1:4–5
Nights: 1:5–7

Patient Population

Post-surgical adult patients
Post-surgical geriatric patients
Orthopedic and general surgery recoveries
High-volume admission unit

Unit Highlights

Fast-paced environment
Averages 10–15 admissions per day
Highest admission volume occurs on day/evening shifts
Unit occupancy averages 90–95%
Average length of stay: 2–3 days (except joint replacement patients)

Float Requirements

Must float to all inpatient units as needed

Weekend & Holiday Requirements

Every other weekend
Holiday rotation
