Description

Labor & Delivery RN (L&D) – Day Shift

Shift Information

Primary Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Schedule: 36 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years L&D RN experience required
Must be experienced in:
- Labor & Delivery
- Postpartum care
- Maternal/fetal monitoring and assessment
Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced, patient- and family-centered care environment

Required Certifications

BLS
ACLS
NRP
EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
Active Kentucky RN License (required at time of submission)

EMR

EPIC experience required

Core Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments per policy
Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care
Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to clinical changes
Document and evaluate responses to clinical interventions
Provide education to patients and families during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
Coordinate interdisciplinary care and discharge planning
Delegate appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff
Participate in unit performance improvement and governance activities
Promote safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective patient care
Support mentorship, teamwork, and staff development
