Description

PICU Peds and Teen ICU RN 3x12 3a-3p mid shift with Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN

BLS and PALS required (AHA)

Indiana RN or compact required

2 years of experience, experience with both Peds and PICU is required

L2 or L1 Trauma and 400+ bed facility experience required

EPIC experience required

 

Unit Details:

1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Care for peds patient between the age of 3 days to 18 years of age. This would include common childhood illness, including COVID + patients. The nurse will need to have a high knowledge base for pediatric patient at all levels of care. (PICU and Peds) PICU - respiratory, traumas, donations, seizures, and poisoning, anything highly specialized or cardiac sent out, no burns. Peds - trauma, respiratory, RSV, general surgical, birth defects, send out more complex surgicals. 

7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. Peds - 28 beds, PICU - 7 beds 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 1:4 patients Peds, 1:2 PICU
