We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. Location - Poughkeepsie, NY Position - RN PACU Schedule - Days, Monday through Friday- 40 hours/week (5x8 or 4x10) Responsibilities<ul><li>Airway &amp; Vital Sign Monitoring: Assess respiratory and cardiovascular status, evaluate level of consciousness, and ensure the patient is hemodynamically stable.</li><li>Anesthesia Recovery: Monitor the patient as the effects of general, regional, or local anesthesia fade, looking closely for adverse reactions or neurological deficits.</li><li>Pain &amp; Symptom Management: Administer prescribed medications to treat surgical pain, post-operative nausea, and vomiting (PONV).</li><li>Surgical Site Assessment: Inspect surgical dressings and drains for abnormal bleeding or signs of infection.</li><li>Patient Handoff: Receive comprehensive reports from the surgical team and anesthesiologists and later provide detailed discharge instructions to patients and their families.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>RN NY Nursing License is required</li><li>BLS and ACLS is required</li><li>At least 1-2 years of PACU RN experience is required!</li></ul>If you are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and want to be part of a supportive team, we would love to hear from you!
