Travel Director of Nursing — Bottineau, ND
Start Date: 6/29
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (will work floor as needed)
Pay: $3,726 / week (gross)
Position Summary
Experienced nursing leader needed to serve as Director of Nursing for a long‑term care/skilled nursing facility in Bottineau, ND. This travel assignment requires hands‑on leadership, clinical oversight, and the ability to step onto the floor to support staff and residents as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing operations and ensure delivery of high‑quality resident care.
- Supervise, mentor, and schedule nursing staff; provide clinical guidance on the floor.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with administration, therapy, and ancillary departments on care plans and staffing.
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action plans.
- Participate in admissions, care conferences, and family communications as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of DON or comparable leadership experience in LTC/SNF.
- BLS current.
- Clean Nursys report (no active disciplinary actions).
- ND state license or Compact RN license (active).
- Demonstrated experience in long‑term care / skilled nursing facility operations and regulatory standards.
Preferred
- Prior travel DON experience.
- Strong skills in staff development, survey readiness, and electronic medical records.
Location / Rate Note
- Permanent address must be greater than 80 miles from Bottineau, ND to qualify for the full travel rate. If permanent address is within 80 miles, the pay rate will be reduced per facility policy.
